How to Apply for Summer Session

It’s easy to apply for Summer Session at Loyola University New Orleans. We have class offerings for undergraduate, graduate, law, and non-degree seeking students who are interested in studying over the summer. 

Current Students 

Current Loyola students use the Course Catalog in LORA Self-Service to explore available Summer Session courses. Registration will happen in LORA Self-Service also. Talk to your academic advisor to get more information and complete the "New LORA for Students 101" training in Canvas for detailed instructions. 

Study Abroad Students 

If you’re a current Loyola student interested in a summer study abroad opportunity, please reach out to the Center of International Education to discuss specific opportunities and application deadlines.

Visiting and Non-Degree Seeking Students 

Visiting students enrolled full-time at another university who want to take summer courses at Loyola should complete the Summer Visiting Application. This application must be submitted with an official transcript or letter of good standing from the last school attended. The letter must state that you are in good standing (not on academic or financial probation, suspension, or dismissal) and that you are eligible to return. The transcript or letter should be mailed to:
